COVID-19 policy

Honeycomb Montessori Preschool takes the health and safety of our staff and families seriously. Since the start of the pandemic, we have worked closely with the South African Montessori Association and the Department of Social Development to enforce strict COVID-19 protocols.

Among these protocols are:

  • All staff must complete a COVID-19 screening form each morning before coming to school.

  • All staff are required to wear face masks.

  • Parents must complete COVID-19 screening forms for all children attending school prior to arrival.

  • Children and parents arriving at the school must have their temperatures taken.

  • If children are showing signs of being ill, parents are asked to collect them promptly.

  • Parents do not  enter the property to pick-up or drop-off their children. Instead, staff come to each car to individually collect children. Parents who are settling new children are allowed to bring their child into school until the child is comfortable in their new learning environment.

  • No parents or visitors are allowed on the property without having made an appointment.

  • Parents and visitors are required to complete COVID-19 screening forms and have their temperatures taken.

With the support and cooperation of our parents, and the incredible resilience of our staff, we have been able to keep Honeycomb Montessori Preschool open and fully functioning for our community.
